LAX 6 Foot Lightning Cable (Apple MFi Certified )

If you are like me you need a phone charger in every room, your car & your office. We have so many chargers and yet I always feel like I need 1 more. We are an Apple family and have a few devices that use the same type of charging cable so we often need to charge multiple items at a time. Well this is the latest charging cable I've added to my collection. This cable 6 feet long! That's right finally a cable that is long enough to reach the couch from the wall outlet. Most of my cables are only 3 feet and that's a bit short for me. This cable has a nice Velcro wrap so that you can wind the cable up so that it doesn't knot up. The best feature is that this cable is not your typical rubber wire cable. This cable is a tangle free braided nylon. So basically it looks like a nylon rope. This cable is designed to last. It is going to replace the cable I have in my bedroom. That cable has frayed at the connector and I had to try and tape it to keep it from getting worse. I even bought these little plastic shields that are supposed to prevent cables from fraying at the connector but they really don't work. I am so impressed with the sturdy design of this charging cable. The cable also connects seamlessly to my computer and to ITunes. Some cables will charge your phone but don't connect to ITunes on your computer. I plugged the phone into the cable and my computer recognized the phone right away. This cable is a good one and one that I would be happy to purchase again. I give it two thumbs up and 5 Stars.

Era Organic Baby Lotion & Diaper Cream

Have you heard of Era Organic baby skin products? Well they are great products so you should continue reading. I have had the opportunity to test out 3 of their products and have really enjoyed using all of them. I will only be talking about 2 of them in this post though. First, all of the Era Organic products are organic and made for sensitive skin. They are all made with organic oils & extracts and no chemicals. The products are fragrance and dye free and are cruelty free and vegan friendly. I like being able to look at the ingredient list and recognize everything as being natural. The Baby lotion is super moisturizing. It goes on smoothly and soaks into your skin easily. Now this lotion is alcohol free so it doesn't dry on your skin like some lotions do. You do feel the lotion a little on your skin afterwards but only until it all soaks into your skin. Many lotions actually have alcohol in them and this can actually dry your skin out which is the exact opposite of the goal. We have been using this lotion on my daughter after her baths. It is easy to apply and I like that it doesn't have any overbearing perfume smell. Usually after bath time she just puts on her pajamas so it's no big deal if her skin feels a little slippery from the lotion. I find that this lotion hasn't had any reactions on her skin and has really helped fight the dry skin that you get when the weather changes in autumn. 

We also recently got the Era Organic Diaper Cream. My daughter is almost finished with diapers but she still gets red sometimes down there. It's nice to find a natural cream that actually works. We've been using regular diaper cream because I’ve tried just coconut oil and it didn't work. I wish I had found this diaper cream 2 years ago. It has a similar feel to petroleum jelly and goes on really easily and smoothly. It helps create that moisture barrier that really helps heal little baby skin. The natural oils in the cream are excellent for healing the irritated skin as well. We used it for about a day and a half and noticed an improvement. She didn't have a bad diaper rash but now I am prepared for next time.

Encounter Womens Racerback Sports Bra

Let’s just face it... It is so important to have the right kind of support when exercising. I can tell you from past experiences that not all sports bras are created equally. Unfortunately I have on several occasions been injured by unsupportive sports bras. I have been rubbed raw, jiggled until I ache & literally bled through my t-shirt. I am not as active as I used to be but I still play soccer regularly and run. Since I've had my daughter I have found that I need even better support and a tighter fit on my sports bras. I basically have 1 bra that I trust and a couple that I can use for minimal impact workouts. I was eager and hopeful that I would find another great sports bra. Here are my thoughts.

First, it's purple and I love the color purple. Second the design and feel of it are great. It's made of a material that will stretch well and wear well when I get hot and sweaty. Third and most important is the fit of this sports bra. I am a petite girl with a larger than average chest so fit can be a bit tricky for me. The sports bra fit me well. I felt fully covered. But it did not give me the support I was hoping for. It did not hold me firm enough to reduce the jiggle enough. I did the jumping around and running in place test and this sports bra did not pass my test. I didn't feel like it was snug enough to hold my chest in place. I desire to have a sports bra that is snug enough to hold me tight and really reduce the jiggle. If I were to go running with this bra on I think I would feel sore afterwards (I'm actually not even willing to give this a try). I would say this sports bra is good for low impact activity such as a yoga class or a kickboxing class. But it definitely wouldn't work for an active workout such as an aerobics class, a soccer game or a jog. So I am a bit disappointed in this sports bra overall for me personally. I don't think it is the best choice for my needs.

Santoys Wooden Cash Register with Calculator

I was really excited about getting this wooden cash register. My little girl loves going to the grocery store with me and even likes to help me check out at the self-checkout lane. I really like parts of it but I also wish that parts of it were a little different. This cash register is wooden and is painted nice primary colors. It doesn't have too many whistles and bells. It has a small calculator built into the wooden part that you can use as the keyboard and a white roll of register tape. The register tape is easily replaceable which is convenient. The way it is designed doesn't make it too easy to tear the paper. When I did the Blue wooden pieces sort of lifted up as well. The cash drawer manually opens easy and is large enough to have a bunch of play money in it.

I did notice that if you need to change the battery on the calculator you need to take the bottom of cash register apart. It's a bit inconvenient to be honest. 

I'm a bit torn on my overall thought on this cash register. It is exactly as it is described and for that I give it a thumbs' up. I wish it came with some play money. You can tell that it's just a simple calculator added to the structure and to me that looks a bit cheap. Other wooden cash registers I saw also come with a little scanner. I wish this register had that also. I've seen other wooden cash register's that seem to be a bit more realistic for either the same or less money.

 I haven't given it to my daughter yet because I'm still deciding if I want to give it to her for Christmas or use it as a gift for someone else.

36 Toy Filled Easter Egg

These eggs are going to be perfect for Easter. I know... it’s a bit early to be thinking about Easter it’s not even Halloween… but let me tell you about them anyway and maybe when you are ready to look for Easter stuff you will remember these eggs. First I don’t need to fill eggs with candy or money this year!!! Wohoo! This came with 36 eggs filled with little toys. Yes already filled with toys perfect for young children. You know what kind of toys I’m talking about: those little plastic toys that children like for some crazy reason. The type you get out of those 25 cent machines that all children are wired to love for some unknown reason. My daughter doesn’t even know what they are for or how to use these little toys but she wants them.   Some of the toys in the eggs are: slinky, yoyo, plastic mini camera, a whistle, stamps and more. I have pictures of some of the toys below. Second, these eggs are reusable so next year I can use the same eggs and fill them with my own toys. Actually we will probably only use some of these eggs and then I’ll have the rest for next year because I only have 1 little girl and she doesn’t need all 36 this year. Third, the eggs are the same size and colors as the kind you will find at every big box store and dollar store. I like the fact that I can pack these away and I don’t need to worry about dealing with last minute stores and crowds. I can check this off my list and get back to thinking about Halloween.

Pour Over Coffee Dripper by Possiave

We love these types of coffee makers. They are so convenient and make great coffee. Until recently I only ever remember seeing this style of single cup coffee dripper once when I was a child. My friends’ mom had one and I never knew what it was really for. Well fast forward 30 years and here I am a big fan of these.  It is a simple way to make a quick cup of really good fresh brewed coffee. You don’t have to spend extra money on purchasing coffee pods either. This uses regular coffee grounds which are much cheaper than your typical coffee pod. We actually have a Keurig but my husband and I both agree that this coffee dripper makes better smoother coffee.  This coffee dripper specifically comes as 2 parts: the filter and the stand. The stand fits easily on top of any mug and the filter fits into it. This makes it easier to clean. Also the filter itself has a nice little rubber handle so that you can handle it easier. The filter cleans off easily with just some hot water and soap (if you want).

Overall, this is a great tool to have if, you like us, find yourself wanting only 1 fresh cup of brewed coffee and don’t want the hassle of brewing a pot of coffee.

Ultracell AA Rechargeable Batteries

I love the idea of rechargeable batteries. I don’t have to spend money and buy new batteries all the time. Also, rechargeable batteries make less waste. I’m not throwing away a bunch of batteries every few months. I actually am collecting quite a stash of AA rechargeable batteries. I have tried about 4 different brands so far. This 4 pack of rechargeable AA batteries came partially charged. I popped them in chargers that I already had and made sure they were fully charged. I have 2 chargers and I’m not sure they worked correctly in one but in the other one I had no problem getting them to charge. These work just like any other rechargeable AA battery that I have. I had no issues with them working in my devices either. As far as how long the battery will last... well I’m still waiting on that. We aren’t gamers in this house so our AA batteries do take a bit of time to gun empty. I actually find that we AA batteries primarily in small lights and my daughter’s toys. Overall I am satisfied with these batteries and I think they will work just fine for our needs.

(Now I just need to get some AAA rechargeable batteries)

Star Wars Lightsaber Coffee Mug

This mug is really fun! We are big Star Wars fans in our family. This Star Wars themed mug has about 12 light sabers on it. Each light saber is labeled so you can identify which character the saber belongs to. Now here's the cool part: when you fill the mug with anything hot (I'd say over 100 degrees) the light saber's "turn on". Each of the sabers light's up and is designed to match the actual color that they are in the movies. I like that I can actually look and see the details of each character's light saber. I didn't realize they all looked so different. This mug holds about 12 ounces of liquid so it's perfect for tea, coffee or hot chocolate. I was able to easily wash this mug with hot water and some mild dish detergent. Be careful with the mug itself though, because it is not dishwasher or microwave safe.  

This is going to make such a fun gift for my niece that is having a Star Wars themed party next month.

Jolly Mags: Magnetic Tiles, (32 Piece Set)

I have seen these magnetic tiles before and thought they would be perfect for my daughter. I have a 2 1/2 year old and even though she will not completely understand or be able to build complicated structures she will still have a lot of fun and learn with these magnetic tiles. She has played with magnetic tiles like these at a friend's house and had a great time with them. This pack came with 32 magnetic tiles. There are squares and 3 different size triangles. They are made of bright colored translucent plastic. They are thick enough and sturdy enough to be played with often by young children. These will make a great teaching tool for my daughter. She can learn about shapes and colors with these magnetic tiles. Hopefully she will also learn how to use them to build some simple structures. The magnets aren't super strong but hold the piece well to each other. We are saving Magnetic Tiles and giving them to my daughter for Christmas.
